The musical trio from Monterrey, Mexico consists of Eric Rincon, Sergio Zavala (DJ Beat Sheeqo), and Alberto Presada (DJ Otto). You might have already come across this group as their single, “Intentalo,” gained them great popularity nationwide and on the web. For those who haven’t, 3BallMTY is namely celebrated for introducing North America to the exciting music genre, Tribal-Guarachero, defined as a fusion between tribal-house (a sub-genre of house music that presents elements of indigenous musical percussion) and guaracha (a rapid tempo Latin rhythm rooted in Cuba).
3BallMTY uses a standard rhythm formula of a 4/4 beat at 133 beats per minute. At the same time, they mesh in both traditional and electronic instruments to create their sophisticated beat pattern that creates a unique rhythmic sound that is easy to dance to.
America Sierra rejoins the group in “Besos al Aire” providing the song a soft feminine angle that contrasts well with their fast paced electronic Latin beats. In this song, America Sierra sings and newcomer Smoky provides a short rap verse while 3BallMTY seemingly step back and focus on what they do best, composing good tribal music.
