Today director Fernando Lugo released his latest music video, which features a new artist by the name of JP “El Sinico” – whose mannerisms are reminiscent of a young Spanish-flowing version of T.I. – and the singer Killatonez, who hardcore reggaeton fans might remember from the underground duo Galante & Killatonez.
Both artists are best known for their work in the genre of reggaeton, but “Tiempo A Tiempo” is actually an urban pop song that is filled with the emotional pain and conflicting thoughts of a relationship charred by the heavy hand of drug addiction and all-around instability. As the relationship collapses by the end of the video, the protagonist seems to find a sense of inner peace and self-worth, offering a hope for redemption. The video ends with a verse from Psalms 37:5 (a rare move for an urban artist):
“Put your Life in the hands of God, trust in Him and he will come to YOUR aid”
