Leslie Grace – Will U Still Love Me Tomorrow & Day One (Acoustic)

Leslie Grace is a budding Latina artist from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, who was originally born to Dominican parents in New York. She began her musical career performing for her local church group, where she exercised her singing talent in both English and Spanish. While Leslie Grace has now begun to move out of Gospel in favor of the musical genres of Latin and R&B, her strong soulful voice continues to be present.

The hit single “Will U Still Love Me Tomorrow” fuses Leslie’s R&B singing style with bachata music as she stunningly reinterprets the classic tune by The Shirelles.  She does a wonderful job of artistically mixing her English and Spanish lyrics, creating a captivating Spanglish bachata track that is easy to fall in love with.

Another song worth checking out is her very latest, “Day One.” In this piece, Leslie Grace seems to effortlessly hit a wide range of vocal notes that I would describe as a mixture of both the soulfulness of Alicia Keys‘ song, “Unthinkable” as well as the deep passion of Amanda Perez‘s tune, “Angel.”  Make sure to keep an eye on this young artist as her talent begins to flourish in the Latin music scene.

La vi con “Will U Still Love Me…” en Sabado Gigante, tal vez hace un mes. Claro como hacen en SG, fue lip synched, lastima. Pero no importaba porque se nota que tiene una excelente voz y se presenta profesional.

It is funny seeing someone list this young lady as Afro/Hispanic. She is of Dominican heritage.. that is a mixture of African/European/, and Native American, similar to Saldana. Remember that the Spaniards did not bring women when they first came to the New World. They took the Native American women, and later the African women. So Majority of hispanics have a similar genetic make up, no matter how white or dark they may look. Some Mexican and South Americans are of European/Native. American Ancestry. Many are Tri-Racial though most will put white. She is a beautiful young lady as are many people of mixed ancestry.

are you trying to say because she is Afro Hispanic woman she is not beautiful? Yes she is a beautiful woman and so what if she is Afro Hispanic.

  • I

She’s got a beautiful voice… I dont think there is anything wrong with being Afro/Hispanic. There many Latinos (Mexicans included, especially those from Veracruz) with African blood. For that reason, the mixture of African, Spanish, and Native blood you get the beautiful varying shades of skin (dark brown to white) and hair textures (tight curls to waves to straight hair). From my understanding, Leslie is Dominican, not African-American and Dominican, but Dominican… Like I said, there is nothing wrong with Afro/Hispanic people, I am one myself, but I believe that Leslie is Dominican. Who cares anyway? She sings like an angel.

Actually I have done a lot of research and Afro Mexicans are a very small minority. I was reading that they are less than 1% of the Mexican population. Plus majority of Mexicans are Mestizos or Amerindian and Spanish mix. I was also researching DNA and found out that majority of Mexicans do not have African DNA. 96% of the Mexican population has no African ancestry it is mostly Native and Spanish.

Her and Prince Royce would make a great couple. I hope they start to date. They would be a Dominican Power couple.
