Rene Lopez is one of my favorite Nuyorican musicians and today I bring you the song "Fa La La De Fa La," which comes off his 2011 album E.L.S. ("Electric Latin Soul"). The album title certainly fits the song well, as the instrumentation is a fusion of Latin and perhaps reggae, while his vocals contain elements of soul and funk.
