Spanglish Noise met up with Miami artist 2NYCE last week during the 2013 Latin Billboards at a showcase party hosted by Mr. 305 Inc at Off The Hookah. The other night I had the great fortune to see Mariana Vega perform as part of the ASCAP Showcase for the 2013 Latin Billboard Conference. On a night that featured four of Latin's Leading Ladies (Mariana Vega, Debi Nova, Kany Garcia, & Lena), the Venezuelan singer provided a tranquil and heartfelt performance that truly won me over as a new listener to her music. There was a funny surprise last Thursday night when Vin Diesel was invited onstage at the 2013 Latin Billboard Awards show. Following an action-packed trailer for the upcoming release of Fast & Furious 6, the franchise star overcame an awkward introduction when he simply exclaimed, "Coño!," later apologizing to his PR person for the primetime swearing by stating, "I gotta go clean...I have one of my tigeres in the audience." Today I fled the snowy Minneapolis winterland for the first day of Latin Billboard panels in Miami.
